Shabby Chic Owls - Thank You Card - Project of the Week




Materials:
  • A4 White Card
  • Design Sheet from free papers
  • Backing Papers from free papers
  • Glitter
Equipment:
  • Trimmer/craft knife
  • Scissors
  • Double sided tape
  • Score board
  • Bone folder
What You Need to Do:
  1. Score and fold your A4 card in half to create an A5 card blank.
  2. Measure half way across the top of your card front and score down, then fold the front of the card back on itself to create your fold back card
  3. Cut a piece of backing paper slightly smaller than inside back of the card and matt on top leaving an even gap around the edges using double sided tape of glue
  4. Cut a piece of backing paper slightly smaller than the fold back panel, matt on top leaving an even gap around the edges.
  5. Attach the topper to the fold back panel of the card, ensuring you only apply adhesive to the right hand back side of the topper.
  6. Cut out a sentiment and attach to bottom of card using foam pads as shown
  7. Finish with highlights of glitter.

Project of the week: Haberdashery Twisted Easel


Twisted Easel
Materials
Square Card Blank
Stardust Glitter

1. Using the square card, score from the top left hand corner down to the bottom right hand corner, fold and re-enforce using your bone folder.  This will create your card shape.
Cut out your backing papers to the required size and fix to the base.

2. Cut your topper and  fix to the triangle part of your card using double sided tape or crafty glue.

3. Cut out all the extra paper embellishments and fix to the card as shown. 

4. Cut out a sentiment topper and attach using foam pads.  This will act as a stopper and hold your card up.

5. Finish by adding glitter highlights using a quickie glue pen.

Project of the week: Vintage birds Momento Book

Materials
A4 Coloured Card x 2
Stayzon Ink

1. Score and fold 2 A4 cards in half to make A5 card blanks then fix together.

2. Cut out the booklet cover and attach to the front leaving a small even gap around the edges.

3. Decorate the inside sections with papers. Tear or use the torn edged paper to decorate as you see fit.  

4. Print photos or toppers onto card and matt onto the pages.

5. Create more pages by making A5 card blanks in the same card and attaching the back to the front of each card.  The booklet can be as big as you wish.

Project of the week: Shabby Chic Love

Get ready for Valentine's Day with this beautiful project from the Shabby Chic Love collection!
Love
Materials:
A4 White Card
Design Sheet/Paper
Gems & Glitter
Embellishments

Instructions:
1. Print off the middle stepper template included in the download. Transfer all your markings from the template to card cutting on the solid lines and scoring on the broken. Gently push your card should fold into shape.
2. Cut out the backing paper to fit the front using the card as a guide.
3. Attach a ribbon strip across the front along the bottom.
4. Cut out and make up a decoupage topper and attach to the card front as shown with foam pads at an angle.
5. Add strips of lace ribbon to the side sections.
6. Add extra embellishments from your crafty stash.
7. Finish with subtle highlights of glitter.

Project of the week: Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving

Materials
Square card blank

Design sheet 

1. Cut out your topper, sentiments and paper ribbon and embellishments.
2. Cover the base of your card with your design paper.
3. Attach one of the sentiments to the topper with foam pads/silicone glue. If using silicone glue leave your work to one side to dry for at least an hour.
4. Attach the ribbon strip about an inch from the bottom of the card. 
5. Attach the main topper at a slight angle with foam pads/silicone glue.
6. Build the flower and add to the left hand side of the ribbon strip.
7 Add the butterfly to the right hand side of the ribbon strip and the remaining sentiment to the top right hand corner.
8. Attach the paper bow to the top left hand corner of the main topper.
9. Finish off with gems and glitter.
