Project Ideas: Sunflower Dreams

Sunflower Dreams
Materials
8” x 8” White Card Blank
White Card
Black Versa Fine Ink
Versa Mark Ink
Distress Inks
Black Glitter
1. Cut paper slightly smaller than the front of the card and attach using double sided tape or glue.
2. Cut a contrasting backing paper 15cm x 15cm and attach to the centre. Print off the free box template from the Debbi Moore website - inspiration - free papers and ideas. Score on the broken lines and cut on the stright lines. Reinforce each score line and fold into a box frame attaching at the corners.
3. Attach the box frame over the contrasting backing paper using strong tape or glue.  Die cut a swirl using the Peony Promise Swirl Die from Kraft Card and attach inside the frame.
4. Stamp the Sunflower three times onto white card with black ink and colour using Distress Inks then cut out.  Attach one whole image inside the frame towards the right with foam pads.  Trim the flower heads and leaves off.  Using the Versa Mark clear ink, ink over the flower heads.  Pour over Glossy Magic and heat the powder until it melts. On the reverse of the two flower heads use a ball tool and embossing mat to gently curl the petals.  Layer on top of the other flower off setting the petals.  Emboss the back of the leaves and layer them onto the flower too.
5. Stamp the Sunflower definition onto white card and trim.  Blend over the card with the same colour distress ink you used for the flower head.  Matt onto black card and attach to the frame. Add black gems to each corner.
6. Using a quickie glue pen add some glue around the middle of the flower and sprinkle some black stardust glitter on top to finish. Lay your card on a piece of scrap paper when glittering so you can pour your excess glitter back into the pot!
Place your stamp on an acrylic block, dab on black ink and stamp. Using distress inks build up the colour on your stamp.
For a different effect stamp a few sunflowers on white card. Cut the stem off and colour with your desired medium, then layer up the sunflower heads on your projects for a dimensional finish. Visit the Debbi Moore website to view the full collection!
